A multitude of cultures will be celebrate the holiday season. The cultural food that unites America is amazing. Helen says, "The kitchen is the heart, the kitchen is the soul, and the kitchen knows all.”

Let’s start with shopping for the magical ingredients that brings the cultural foods to life.

Lists:

specialty foods (meat, fish, dairy)

• winter ice cube recipe – break up peppermint candies, add the crushed peppermint candies into the ice tray; the ice tray can be traditional, or use a different styled tray, i.e. round, add seltzer, etc.,  and freeze. Ta-da, you now have holiday ice cubes for your beverages.

• frozen hot peppermint chocolate ice cubes – in a blender add hot chocolate mix, add ice cubes, add milk, soy milk or coconut milk, break up peppermint candies, add the crushed peppermint candies into the ice tray; the ice tray can be traditional, or use a different styled tray, i.e. cubed, pour the frozen hot chocolate mixture into the ice tray and freeze.

• adult libation - in a neat glass, add frozen hot chocolate ice cubes, and splash of peppermint schnapps, etcetera, etc.  

Now gather the helpers young and old, the talkers that share the gossip, which we love to hear at gatherings, it's a way of catching up.  The children will flutter in and out, and some will want to help; let them for they add the magical ingredient to any dish called L O V E.
