Kristallnacht - Night of Broken Glass

On November 09, & 10, 1938, a well-organized plan became reality. The well-oiled machine made-up of German youths known as the Hitler-Jugend dispersed into Germany’s Jewish neighborhoods. Their mission was to break all the Jewish glass, Kristallnacht, the Night of Broken Glass.

The Hitler-Jugend, which caused the destruction, was an army of kids ranging in ages from 10 to 18, and 7,000+ strong. The youth were divided into boys and girls, wore uniforms, and carried knives. They took bullying to a new level.  What’s scary, these kids where not educated, and where victims of the bad economy, and where white Christian Nationalist.

The youth broke windows, burned homes, synagogues, hospitals, businesses, and killed innocent Jewish people.  The gleeful Hitler-Jugend in the image shows no regard for humanity.

In Second Life, the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, created a virtual Kristallnacht, please take time to visit an amazing build, and Bear Witness to Hate.
