WAR

The War began September 11, 2001, after the Twin Towers where attacked by Al Qaeda, and their supreme leader Osama Bin Laden.  When the attacks occurred I was driving to campus for my writing class.  When I left campus to go home at 2:30 PM, the city was a ghost town.  Fear started creeping in and businesses closed one by one.

War is what President Bush spoke of and the United States became hostages with our own country.  The US became hated by the Muslim world.

Artist started expressing their hate for War; graffitist started painting the town with political thoughts of Change.  The tensions in the Mideast became heated and threats on US soil occurred.  The artists spoke up about War through art, music, poetry, and writings, a freedom of expression that drove many on the "Right" crazy.

The billboards message “WAR,” NOT IN OUR NAME!”  That billboard went up a month after September 11, 2001.  Six months ago the billboard was covered-up, what a shame, the message took on great meaning May 01, 2011.

The War [s] that fueled the "Right” was doused within a New York minute on Sunday, May 01, 2011.  President Obama gave the secret operation a go ahead and within a New York minute Osama Bin Laden was dead.

May we never forget this day of amazing miracles, and support our troops still fighting WAR …
