Empire State Building 03/28/2002

The whole world knows the insane story of terror that occurred on September 11, 2001, or 9 1 1. The name of the hole is now Ground Zero, which is so impersonal and uncaring for all the souls that passed away here. I renamed it, The Twin Tower Tomb. I found a good position to start snapping pictures, and one by one the images changed.

As the time passed I was able to soak in the atmosphere and get an inkling of what it was like on 9 1 1. I looked and observed in all directions, and the lone beauty stood proud amongst ruins and tears. The Empire State Building …

I feel that it’s a sin to rebuild on or near holy ground. The Twin Tower Tomb needs to be treated with respect; many human remains are permanently imbedded into the soil. To build a Religious Vessel from any denomination is not justice, its disrespect to the families who suffered the losses on September 11, 2001, or 9 1 1.

Please show respect to those whose lives are forever entombed in The World Trade Center.

Poets Row

Poets Row

In 1938 the street between 10th and Sherman to 11th and Sherman Street in Denver, Colorado have been dubbed “Poets Row.” The street is now part of the Colorado Historical Society, and is protected. The list of poets is intriguing, and why where they chosen, and who lived in these apartments, and were these apartments the "coolness" in 1938?

In 1938 half a world away from Denver, Germany was getting ready to invade Europe, the economy was very similar to our current economy.

Authors and Poets:

Nathaniel Hawthorne’s most famous book The Scarlett Letter, and he was never a poet. Nathaniel was a novelist, and short story writer.

Mark Twain a pen name for Samuel L. Clemens, and what a wonderful author. Best known for children’s classics Huckleberry Fin, and Tom Sawyer Adventures, but he too never wrote any poetry. He was the original nutty liberal professor, who supported women’s rights, was in favor of abolishing slavery, and freedom for Native Americans.

Emily Dickinson was an author of over 1800 poems, and a closeted lesbian. According to historians, Emily had an open but secret relationship with Susan Gilbert. To hush rumors Gilbert ended up marrying; no one will ever know the secret. The secret is hidden within her poems.

Get out and write, take a pen and paper with you, and write your emotions from something you see.
Don’t worry about editing, you can do that later if you choose too. Just write, put down the iDevice for a few and feel a pen, pencil, and paper. Become the next famous poet on "Poets Row."

Recently after seeing a stunning pair of blue eyes at an art gallery, and hearing the artist story behind the eyes a poem was written. A written sense that emanates what the artist feels for the pair of “blue eyes”

A poem for all who feel the emotion: absent.
